R.M. of Lakeland No. 521

Welcome to the Rural Municipality of Lakeland No.521, Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada. We are located in the heart of Saskatchewan lake country.

The Rural Municipality of Lakeland No.521 was incorporated in 1977, serving the residents in and around Emma, Christopher, Anglin, and McPhee Lakes. The municipality is only 9 miles wide and 30 miles long, beginning at Christopher Lake and extending north to Timber Cove. The western boundary is shared with Prince Albert National Park. It is a rural municipality in name only as the boundaries do not include any crop able acres. It includes a collection of resort areas that surround the above mentioned lakes as well as the new development at Elk Ridge Resort. There were 1,043 residents, and 2,293 dwelling units in the Rural Municipality according to the 2006 census. In the summer we estimate that our population peaks between 20 and 30 thousand people when campers are included.
